Former Rebel Seeks PGA Tour Card

Former Ole Miss golfer Vance Veazey is close to earning his PGA Tour Card for 2010. On Sunday, 25 PGA TOUR cards for 2010 will be awarded to the Nationwide Tour's leading money winners at the conclusion of the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island in Charleston, S.C.

Veazey is currently 21st on the Nationwide Tour money list. With a $1 million purse and a first prize of $180,000 on the line, every player in the field has a shot at earning a TOUR card. The second-place payout is $108,000.

The Memphis native, who played for Ole Miss in 1987 and 1988, won the first Nationwide Tour event of the year.
