Former Rebel golfer Callum Macaulay earned his European Tour card in his first attempt last fall. Now, he is aiming to keep it for another season. Macaulay is 125th on the Race to Dubai Order of Merit, which actually ranks higher as 10 players are likely to fall off the list between now and the completion of the season at the Dubai World Championship in November. Macaulay’s real position is about 115th, the cut-off point for outright qualifiers for next year.
This week the former All-SEC selection is playing in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship after receiving an invitation last weekend. The money is such that a good finish would likely put to rest any doubt of his status for 2010.
