NCAA Champion Going For No. 12

Former Rebel NCAA Champion Mahesh Bhupathi will be playing for his 12th grand slam title, fifth in doubles. The 1995 NCAA Doubles Champion and his partner Mark Knowles, seeded No. 3, will face the No. 4 seeded team of Lukas Dlouhy (CZE) and Leander Paes (IND) Friday in the final. The men's doubles final will be played Friday at 11 a.m. and can be seen on CBS.

In the semifinals, Bhupathi (India) and Knowles (Bahamas) defeated the No. 5 seed, Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram 6-4, 6-2. Bhupathi and Knowles teamed up in 2008 and they have since won five titles.

The former All-American, who has earned close to five million in doubles since turning pro in 1995, won the U.S. Open Doubles title in 2002 with Max Mirnyi.
