Impressive Debut For Mike

We all love Mike Wallace, but even we were surprised to see him make such an immediate impact, as one of the heroes of the first NFL game of the 2009 season and first of his career. The Pittsburgh Steelers' third-round pick caught three passes for 32 yards, including a clutch 22-yarder in traffic that led directly to the game-winning field goal in overtime. Wallace was targeted six times, and even though he didn't start, he was in on the first drive of the game and targeted by Ben Roethlisberger on third down (Big Ben underthrew him).

Personally, I'd like to see Mike also on kickoff returns for the Steelers. After all, he holds every KO record at Ole Miss.

Wallace is one of 21 former Rebels currently on NFL rosters. Check out the ESPN.com link below and scroll down the page to see the complete list, which includes a few you might not be aware of. For example, center Ben Claxton has made the Arizona Cardinals' roster.
