Countdown To Kickoff: 36 Days
Today's countdown to kickoff photo highlights the Rebels' first bowl team. The 1935 Ole Miss gridders became the school's first bowl team with they faced off against Catholic University in the '36 Orange Bowl. Though, the Flood (Ole Miss wouldn't become the Rebels until the next season) lost the game Ole Miss has won 21 bowl games since, which ranks 11th all time in the nation.

In your article you said, "though the rebels lost the game". However, in 1935 Ole Miss' teams were know as the Flood. I wish we would change our name back to the Flood rather than being known as rebels with a bear mascot.
