Thursday Night Hype

Other than those Thanksgiving Egg Bowls, tonight's game is the Rebels' first regular-season Thursday night contest in recent memory, and I could have never dreamed the amount of hype these games generate. We are easily the top sports story of the idea, USA Today has a color photo of Dexter that covers up probably 3/4 of the page, and we're all they're talking about on ESPN. Unfortunately, everyone loves the underdog. Mel Kiper, Todd McShay and most every ESPN expert favors the Gamecocks. The only exceptions are Chris Low (read his Three Reasons), Robert Smith and Joe Schad, who has the Rebels winning the West and texted me a Hotty Toddy this afternoon.

If you've made the trip to Columbia, the in-stadium Rebel radio frequency is 90.3 FM. For all other gameday info and live updates on the web, go to OleMissSports.com and follow us on Twitter @OleMissNow.
