Countdown To Kickoff: 60 Days
Today on the countdown we honor a true Rebel, Warner Alford. A guard for Ole Miss from 1958-60, Alford won two national championships and was a co-captain on the Rebels' 1960 national championship squad. Alford later served as Ole Miss' Athletics Director from 1978-94 and was the Executive Director of the Alumni Association from 2004-08. Here Alford is pictured throwing a "look-out" block for Jake Gibbs in the 1960 Sugar Bowl.
