Countdown To Kickoff: 28 Days

Today's photo in the countdown to kickoff highlights former Ole Miss running back Joe Gunn, who still ranks second in school history with 2,749 yards rushing. Gunn is perhaps most remembered for his three-yard TD reception in the final second of the Rebels' 27-24 win over Alabama in 2001. With 46 seconds remaining and the Rebels trailing by four at a rain-soaked Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Gunn caught an Eli Manning swing pass at the five and barreled over Tide defensive back Hirchel Bolden for the game-winning score.
