Check out this piece that ran on the weekly TV series "Football Saturdays in the South". The segment, narrated by Dave "Buzz" Baker, features Ole Miss star QB Jevan Snead showing off his fishing skills. What they don't show from that early-morning, three-hour tour of the Castle Hill lake is that the real stud on that boat was not Snead but Rebel kicker/punter Justin Sparks, who you might notice in the background. We knew Sparks was for real when he pulled up to the shoot with his own personal boat hitched to the back of his truck, and he didn't disappoint, reeling in an 8 lb, 11 oz bass. However, as the media relations rep on the trip, I can't be too hard on Snead. I piloted a pontoon boat for the producer and eventually had to be towed back to shore after getting the vessel stuck in algae. Good thing I'm not the SID for a crew team.
