Sports Illustrated (For Kids) Loves The Rebels

Preseason polls are popping up everywhere this time of year and most have the Rebels ranked among the best teams in the country. The latest ranking from SI For Kids isn't any different (they have Ole Miss ranked 10th), it's just amusing.

Here's what The Greatest Sports Periodical on the Planet for Children has to say about the Rebels:

"The Rebels shocked a lot of people when they beat Florida on the road last season. The upset wasn’t a fluke. This team has talent. Quarterback Jevan Snead (2,762 passing yards, 26 TDs) leads a group that ranked third in the SEC in total offense (407.62 yards) last season. All-SEC defensive end Greg Hardy and defensive tackle Lawon Scott anchor a defensive line that was fourth in the nation in rushing defense in ’08. If these talented stars can take their game to the next level, the Rebels will be a big factor in the tightly contested SEC."

The magazine also touts Snead as a Heisman Trophy sleeper. The issue is on newsstands now and below is a .pdf of the preview article.
